Communities urged to speak up against GBV

CAPE TOWN - Some Cape Town women say the only way to effectively address gender-based violence is to empower communities. 

Patricia de Lille was in Langa to launch the GOOD party's campaign against GBV and femicide.

Residents say government should also improve support mechanisms for victims after they’ve opened cases.

The campaign will extend beyond Women's Month, aiming at reaching as many communities as possible around the country.
