CAPE TOWN - A concert organised by Mampintsha’s West Ink Records at the University of the Western Cape in May could be in jeopardy.
University authorities say they’re dismayed by the video of him allegedly hitting Babes Wodumo.
The event was initially scheduled to take place last weekend but conditions had not been met, resulting in the concert being cancelled.
It’s now due to go ahead at the University of the Western Cape in May.
Although the event application is still being processed, UWC and its SRC say a final decision will only be made once investigations have been completed.
While many are calling for a boycott of Mampitsha’s music, it’s no secret that West Ink Records has had its fair share of problems.
Last year, artists left the company for not getting paid.
eNCA’s requests for comment from West Ink records have been unsuccessful.
