Congestion cleared at Beitbridge: Home Affairs

Zimbabweans can re-enter SA despite special permits

JOHANNESBURG - Traffic at the Beitbridge border post has been cleared according to the Home Affairs Department.

Home Affairs said it worked with the Health Department, SANDF, SAPS and other organisations to ensure easy accessibility.

The intervention from officials follows the deaths of several people at that post who were waiting to cross.

Travellers are being urged to continue observing traffic and immigration laws and health protocols to curb the spread of COVID-19.
