Consumers react to Eskom's rolling blackouts

JOHANNESBURG -  South Africans have taken to Twitter to vent their frustrations over Eskom's constant and swift changes of load-shedding stages.

Eskom announced stage four load-shedding between 8am until 11pm on Sunday.

The power utility said stage four load-shedding on Saturday, led to a further decline in water reserves used to supplement generation capacity.

It added that it needs to manage its diesel and water resources to ensure reduced load-shedding in the week ahead.

Eskom says the blackouts are due to the loss of capacity which includes imports from Mozambique affected by tropical storm Idai.
