JOHANNESBURG - As the lockdown has prevented churches from holding services, some places of worship are choosing innovative ways to remain relevant, including embracing technology.

Hope Restoration Ministries in Kempton Park says streaming their services online has become their chosen platform and it took a leap of faith.

“I also had to be technically wise as well and actually we do pre-recording and we load everything in our computers and go live at 9am," said Pastor Siphiwe Mathebula.

The services are available on social media and other platforms.

It is one of the innovative ways to make sure congregants stay updated, to continue enriching their spiritual appetite, as well as encourage them to stay strong during this difficult time.
