JOHANNESBURG - Health Minister Zweli Mkhize is estimating about 60 to 70-percent of people in any community in South Africa will be infected by COVID-19.
However, he's reassured citizens that not everybody who catches it will fall ill.
Mkhize says the number of infected South Africans is likely to reach 200 on Friday.
Meanwhile, government has announced several regulations to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The regulations were gazetted late on Wednesday by Cooperative Governance Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
Under the new regulations places that serve alcohol, such as clubs, pubs, restaurants and shebeens will be limited to no more than 50 patrons.
