JOHANNESBURG - Cosatu says the governing party needs to seriously look into itself.

The federation is concerned about the number of controversial MPs and former cabinet ministers selected to head Parliamentary committees.

"The ANC should do serious introspection, voters expressed clearly their frustrations in the last election. The ANC needs to clean up, it needs to find a way with dealing with the rotten apples.", said Cosatu parliamentary co-ordinator Matthew Parks.

Parks adds that people implicated in corruption have to be dealt with.

"You can't keep people who have been implicated in commissions of inquiry. The judicial process also needs to be much faster because you can't leave a cloud hanging over people for two years, three years.", he concluded.
