JOHANNESBURG - Cosatu isn't surprised, embarrassed or willing to condemn the actions of disgruntled Sibanye-Stillwater mineworkers.

The trade union federation's First Deputy President Mike Shingange was responding to events at Sunday's Workers' Day rally.

President Cyril Ramaphosa was forced off stage by mine workers, who demanded that he leave the premises.

They were angry about the ongoing wage dispute with Sibanye-Stillwater Gold Mines.
