JOHANNESBURG - It may take up to two years before Charlotte Maxeke Hospital is fully operational again.

A fire in April destroyed a large part of the facility.

The hospital can only treat 380 outpatients a day, compared to over 2,300 before the fire. 

In June, the hospital opened some sections of the hospital.
