JOHANNESBURG - The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) has reported 1,436 new COVID-19 cases.
No COVID-19 related deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
The majority of new cases were reported in Gauteng at 505.

The Western Cape recorded 334 new infections, while KwaZulu-Natal recorded 257 new infections.
The remainder of the provinces recorded less than 100 new infections.
Over 26,000 tests were conducted with a 5.5 percent positivity rate.
