JOHANNESBURG - The National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) has reported 16,240 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
The NICD reported 516 more deaths taking South Africa's death toll 68,192.
According to the NICD, most of the new cases were reported in Gauteng, the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
#COVID19 UPDATE: A total of 59,068 tests were conducted in the last 24 hrs, with 16,240 new cases, which represents a 27.5% positivity rate.
