SA records 1,767 new COVID-19 cases

JOHANNESBURG - The Department of Health reported 1,767 new cases of COVID-19.

The cumulative number of detected cases in the country is 674,339.

A total of 67 more people have died and the department extended condolences to their loved ones as well as thanks to the health workers who tended to them.

4,187,917 tests have been conducted in total with 23,426 new tests conducted since the last report.

Recoveries now stand at 608,112 which translates to a recovery rate of 90 percent.
