JOHANNESBURG - The country continues to record a high number of COVID-19 cases.
A whopping 14,796 cases have been recorded in the past 24 hours.
The total number now stands at over 980,000.

Kwa-Zulu Natal has overtaken the Western Cape with the highest number of active cases.
293 people have died of Covid-19 taking the total to over 26000.
The Eastern Cape and Western Cape continue to record the highest death rates.
They recorded 115 and 107 cases, respectively.
