JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa has lauded a new milestone in the tracking of the coronavirus outbreak in South Africa.
Ramaphosa visited a new data centre that will track the spread of the virus.
COVID-19: WHO says SA can flatten curve
Using real-time analytics and dashboards, the centre will be able to detail COVID-19 infections by province, district, local municipality, ward and even street.

The initiative is a collaboration between the departments of health, science and technology, and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
The centre is housed in a secure facility at the CSIR in Pretoria.
