COVID-19: Gift of the Givers sets up testing stations

JOHANNESBURG - Gift of the Givers is setting up drive through COVID-19 testing stations.

This is to minimise the risk of infecting other people as well as easing the burden on public healthcare facilities.

The test is at a reduced cost.

NGO’s director Imtiaz Sooliman, explains who should get tested.

“At the moment we’re doing it in a building in Mayfair West but we’re trying to change the setup. We will do it in the car park,” said the NGO’s director Imtiaz Sooliman.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has implemented a nationwide lockdown from midnight, Thursday 26 March.

The president believes the infection rate will climb in South Africa.
