JOHANNESBURG - South Africa has recorded 2,967 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24-hour reporting cycle.
The health department said 124 more people have died.
Infections in the Western Cape stand at 589 and 696 in Gauteng.
A total of 42,579 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
