JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's COVID-19 infections have risen by 9,063 in the last 24 hours.

The death toll has increased by 108.

The country's coronavirus related fatalities now stand at 2,952.

The deaths are from the Northern Cape (3), Eastern Cape (8), North West (29), KwaZulu Natal (10) and from Western Cape (58).

South Africa has 177,124 reported COVID-19 cases to date.

86 298 people have recovered which translates to a recovery rate of 48,7-percent.
