JOHANNESBURG - The number of new COVID-19 infections and deaths continues to decline.
The country's recorded just over 4,500 new cases in the last 24 hours.
This brings the total number of cases to 1,453,761.
The health department said 213 more people have died.
The recovery rate is climbing and stands at 89 percent.
