COVID-19 regulations to replace state of disaster

There's been a steady decline in the number of coronavirus cases countrywide over the past few weeks.

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's state of disaster will be in place until at least 16 April 2022.

This is the closing date for public comments on draft regulations for COVID-19.

President Cyril Ramaphosa says that once these regulations are finalised, they will replace the state of disaster regulations.
