JOHANNESBURG - South Africa has seen 10,346 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours.
Kwazulu Natal remains the country's hot spot with 3,160 new active cases.
But the Eastern Cape now has the second-highest number with 2,103.
The Western Cape remains high at just over 2,000 active cases.
369 more people have died, bringing total deaths to 79,953.
The country currently has an 18.6-percent positivity rate.
