COVID-19 in SA: 146 new cases, 9 deaths recorded

JOHANNESBURG - The health department said 146 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the past 24 hours.

Nine additional coronavirus-related deaths were reported.

The majority of new cases reported were from Gauteng with 44.

KwaZulu-Natal reported 38 cases and the Western Cape 24.  

Just over 15,000 tests were conducted in the past day, with a 1.0 percent positivity rate.
