JOHANNESBURG - COVID-19 infections have increased by 16,080 in South Africa.
The NICD said 48 more people have died, taking the death toll to 90,345.
The positivity rate has decreased to 28.8-percent.
KwaZulu Natal leads the surge with over 4,200 cases.
