JOHANNESBURG - The National Institute for Communicable Diseases reported 1,931 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
Less than a thousand new cases were reported in each province.

Gauteng recorded 494 new cases followed by the Western Cape with 386.
The positivity rate is at 8.6 percent.
A further 17 deaths have been reported, taking the death toll to nearly 95,000.
