JOHANNESBURG - The new COVID-19 numbers coming from the National Institute for Communicable Diseases show 2,032 new cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours.
Gauteng continues to lead, with 808 new cases followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 484 infections.
The Western Cape is sitting on 448 new cases.
While the Eastern Cape has recorded 111 infections.
The rest of the provinces recorded below 50 cases.
Three new deaths have been recorded, one death in the last 24-to-48 hours.
Total fatalities are 100,070 to date.
The positivity rate stands at 8.6 percent.
