COVID-19 in SA | 2,809 new cases, 5 deaths recorded

JOHANNESBURG - Over 2,800 new infections have been reported in South Africa.

Sadly five more people have died in the past 24 to 48 hours.

Gauteng has recorded 810 new cases.

The Western Cape has the second-highest number of new infections with 690 followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 508.

A total of 22,236 new tests were conducted.

The positivity rate is presently 12.6 percent.
