JOHANNESBURG - 3,049 new COVID-19 infections have been recorded in the last 24 hours.
Less than a thousand new cases were reported in each province.

Gauteng continues to lead with 774 new cases. It is followed by the Western Cape with 580.
KwaZulu-Natal is third with 462.
The positivity rate stands at 9.2 percent.
A further 13 deaths have been reported, taking the death toll to nearly 95,000.
