JOHANNESBURG - South Africa recorded 3,118 new COVID-19 infections in the past 24 hours.
Gauteng is the only province above three figures as it recorded 1,114 new cases.
The Western Cape has the second most infections with 658 infections.

It’s followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 463 new infections.
The rest of the provinces each recorded fewer than 300 infections.
The positivity rate stands at 8.7 percent.
Sadly, six more people have died due to COVID-19 related complications.
