JOHANNESBURG - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa has risen to 482, 169.
A further 315 people have died of COVID-19 in the country: 121 from Eastern Cape, 96 from Gauteng, 55 from KwaZulu Natal, 34 from Western Cape, and 9 from North West.
This brings the total number of deaths to 7,812.
Nearly 3-million tests have been conducted.
Over 300,000 people have recovered, bringing SA's recovery rate to 64%.
