JOHANNESBURG - Nearly 4,000 new Covid-19 cases have been recorded in the past day.
There have been no additional deaths.

Over 17,000 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours.
Gauteng has the highest number of infections at 1,773 followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 1,118 and the Western Cape with 435 new cases.
The positivity rate stands at 22 percent.
