JOHANNESBURG - The Health Department recorded 39 new COVID-19 deaths in South Africa.
The death toll now stands at 15,992.
The department also confirmed 725 new COVID-19 cases.
Most of the new fatalities are from the North West, with the province recording 16 deaths.
SA's recovery rate is at over 89%.
