COVID-19: SA cases at 4793, death toll at 90

JOHANNESBURG - The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa is now at 4,793 with a death toll of 90.

Minister of Health Zwelini Mkhize says the total number of tests conducted in the country to date is 178,470.

Worldwide, the COVID-19 infection rate has passed the 3-million mark.

The USA has the highest number of infections. Just under a million people have contracted the virus.

Over 208,000 people have died around the globe.
