JOHANNESBURG - The Health Department recorded 213 new COVID-19 deaths in South Africa, taking the death toll to 10,621.

Most of the latest fatalities are from the Free State and the Eastern Cape.

In a visible decrease, the country recorded 3,740 new infections.

There are now 563,598 total infections in South Africa, while the recovery rate has moved to 74%.
