COVID-19 in SA: Eastern Cape hospitals nearly full

PORT ELIZABETH - COVID-19 cases in the Eastern Cape are increasing sharply.

The province has recorded over 38,000 confirmed cases, 528 deaths and more than 2,000 daily infections in recent days.

Hospitals are filling up fast, which is threatening to overwhelm the healthcare system.

However, the Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane says the province is now better equipped to fight the pandemic.
