COVID-19: SA infections soar, 103 new deaths

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa experienced its largest increase in COVID-19 cases. 

According to the Health Department, 5,688 infections were recorded in the past 24-hours.

The total number of confirmed cases is at 111,796.

The department says 103 new deaths takes the death toll to 2205.

Just under 57,000 people have recovered from the virus while more than 1.4-million tests have been conducted.
