COVID-19 in SA: At least 20 more deaths reported

JOHANNESBURG - At least 20 people have died from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape have reported four deaths each while six deaths have been reported in Gauteng and the Western Cape.

This brings the total number of coronavirus related deaths in the country to 15,447.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa now stands at 649 793 after 1,579 new cases were reported in the last hour.

While the number of recoveries is 577, 906 which translates to an 88.9-percent recovery rate.
