COVID-19 in SA: New facilities in Gauteng unused despite third wave

JOHANNESBURG - Despite the crisis in Gauteng, the province has new health facilities left under-utilised or not used at all.

These include the Anglo Gold Ashanti Hospital in Carletonville on the West Rand.

South Africa currently has recorded 13,155 new infections bringing the total cases to over 1.8-million.

The country was placed under Alert Level 3 lockdown to help with the surge in cases.
