COVID-19: SA records 21,606 new infections

JOHANNESBURG - The surge in COVID-19 numbers continues.

In the last 24 hours, 21,606 new infections have been added.

It's the fourth day in a row that more than 20,000 cases have been confirmed.

This takes the total number of cases to over 1,2 million.

Three-hundred and ninety-nine new deaths have been reported, taking the death toll to 32,824.

Over 900,000 people have already recovered from the virus.

More than 7- million tests have been conducted, over 77,000 of those since the last report.
