JOHANNESBURG - The total number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in South Africa stands at 58,568.
According to the Department of Health, 1,028 399 tests have been conducted so far.
There has been a further 74 COVID-19 related deaths: 39 from Western Cape, 31 from the Eastern Cape, and 4 from North West.
This brings the number of deaths in the country to 1,284.
According to the Department of Health, “recoveries to date are 33 252 - this translates to a recovery rate of 56,8%.”
