TEMBISA - Police have announced the arrest of four suspects linked to a CIT robbery that took place in Kaalfontein, near Tembisa.
The suspects were traced to various addresses,
where police recovered a Mercedes Benz alleged to be used as a getaway vehicle, dye-stained money, explosives, and an AK-47.
On Friday in KwaMashu, Durban, four suspects were shot and killed during a confrontation with police, at what is believed to have been the suspects' safe house.
Police found four firearms, including an AK47, explosives and false vehicle number plates.
The Hawks also arrested a man carrying explosives on the N14 travelling to Johannesburg.
Police are investigating if the explosives were to be used for cash-in-transit heists around the country.
