JOHANNESBURG - Five people have been killed in two separate shootings.

In Springfield Park, an alleged drug lord and his wife were killed in a drive-by shooting.

An injured nine-year-old was rushed to hospital but has also died.

In the other shooting, two taxi drivers were killed in Berea.

Meanwhile, it has been over a week since unknown gunmen abducted a two-month-old baby from his home in Chatsworth, south of Durban, during an armed robbery.

The police say investigations are continuing to find the baby.

"We have dispatched a team of experienced FCS investigators from the province, who will lead investigations," said KZN police spokesperson, Robert Netshiunda.

"We believe that with them involved, leading a team of investigators then we will get to the bottom of the matter."
