Alex residents booed and heckled him refusing to let Masahaba present his Integrated Development Plan.
JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance blames the ANC for his failed attempt to address Alexandra residents on Monday.
They accused the ANC of purposefully bussing people to the meeting to ensure Johannesburg Mayor, Herman Mashaba's address couldn't take place.
The Johannesburg mayor had to cancel his meeting with Alexandra residents after he finally showed up to address community members in Malboro.
Alex residents booed and heckled him refusing to let him present his Integrated Development Plan.
Mashaba told the media after the failed address that his administration is still dealing with the backlog left by the ANC.
Residents have been protesting for basic service delivery and against illegal structures.
They had initially asked Mashaba to address their issues but later turned to President Cyril Ramaphosa after Mashaba failed to address their concerns with urgency.
