JOHANNESBURG - The DA has extended its deadline for government to give reasons for closing Eastern Cape and Garden Route beaches.
It now has until 10am on Thursday morning.
The extension is in response to a request from the Presidency for more time.
The party says this is a clear indication that there were no reasons in the first place.
All beaches in the Eastern Cape and Garden Route will be closed until 3 January.
The DA says if the decision is not rational, it will go to court.
