JOHANNESBURG - Democratic Alliance leader hopeful, Mbali Ntuli says she and interim leader John Steenhuisen have many different ideas on how to deal with issues that affect the country.
Ntuli says a debate is necessary so that the DA can hear both their stances.
"I think we have differences in terms of how we look at social justice and economic redress in particular, but having read his manifesto and mine, it seems we also diverge on the climate crisis, ecological issues, green issues, the issues that surround young people and the issues that surround trans, lesbian, gay and intersex persons."
"Perhaps he hasn't ventilated enough on his manifesto, which is why I think it is incredibly important that we speak and have these debates and know where everybody stands."
She is running for the position of DA leader, along with John Moodey and Steenhuisen.
