JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance will never turn its back on its core principles.
This is according to newly-elected leader, John Steenhuisen.
Steenhuisen was speaking at the party's congress after beating his contender, Kwazulu-Natal legislature member, Mbali Ntuli, on Sunday.
This weekend, more than 2,000 delegates voted for the new leader at the party's first virtual congress.
The newly-elected leadership will lead the party into the local government elections next year.
