JOHANNESBURG – Former Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille says Democratic Alliance (DA) leadership is not one that can take the country forward.

She told The Fix on Sunday, says she held secret meetings with DA leader, Mmusi Maimane, and will reveal more about it in a tell-all book she plans to write.

De Lille officially resigned as both Cape Town mayor and DA member this week, after months of conflict between her and the party.

She says that instead of admitting the party’s mistakes, DA councillors resorted to attacking her.
