JOHANNESBURG - Patricia De Lille has put her name forward as premier candidate for her newly-formed Good party in the Western Cape.

The former Cape Town mayor launched the party in December following her ugly exit from the Democratic Alliance.

And after just over eight weeks on the political scene, Good says it has close to 70,000 members.

De Lille addressed members in Cape Town on Saturday.

She’s put her party and name forward, vying for Western Cape premiership.

“I know many people are saying three months, four months before the elections is impossible.

"But what we say every morning, what Tata Madiba said, he said everything seems impossible until it is done."
