JOHANNESBURG - The health department reported that 149 more people have succumbed to the coronavirus in South Africa.

This brings the total number of deaths to 13,308.

Most of the latest deaths are from Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal.

The number of infections has increased by 1,567This takes the total number of cases to 613,017.

The good news is that 520,381 patients have recovered.

That's a recovery rate of 84 percent.
