Eduplex in Pretoria is making strides in inclusive education and achieved a 100 percent matric pass rate.
PRETORIA - A Pretoria high school is making a difference in the deaf learning space that caters to both hearing and hearing-impaired pupils.
Eduplex High first participated in the IEB Matric exams in 2015.
Four years later, it continues to record a hundred percent pass rate.
Students stated they felt a range of emotions ranging from happiness and surprise to relief.
Principal Fanie Grobler said, "we're always expecting the best, that is a hundred percent pass rate but it took a lot of work, a lot dedication from the teachers and the learners."
It's one of the few schools in the country making a huge difference in terms of inclusivity as hearing impaired pupils share a learning space with others.
