JOHANNESBURG - The Economic Freedom Fighters have shown a huge increase of support in this year’s election.

They have almost doubled the 6 percent received in 2014 national election.

The party has also performed exceptionally well in all nine provinces.

In Limpopo, The EFF has managed just over 14 percent of the vote making it the official opposition in the province.

Western Cape

While the Democratic Alliance failed to secure the 60 percent it had hoped for, the EFF has made significant inroads.

The party came third place in the province by almost doubling its vote from 2.11 percent in 2014 to 4.04 percent.

The EFF has displaced the DA as the official opposition in the province.

They doubled their numbers from 6.26 percent in 2014 to 12.79 percent in 2019.

Northern Cape

While the ANC is still governing the Northern Cape with 57.54 percent, the red berets were able to finish in third position with 9.71 percent of the vote, up from 4.96 percent.

North West

The North West province remains under the governance of the ANC. It secured  61.87 percent.

The EFF remains the official opposition and has increased its support to 18.64 percent of the vote. In 2014 the party had 13.21 percent.
