UPDATE: Police fire rubber bullets at Ennerdale protesters

Tyres have been set alight and road have been blocked, as residents there protest over poor school infrastructure.

Ennerdale - Ennerdale is burning on Monday morning.

Police have fired rubber bullets at protesters and have arrested five people.

School children from the area have joined the march.

Police used a stun grenade to get pupils off the road.

Parents and school governing body members addressed police to ensure that children aren't hurt.

Meanwhile, JMPD spokesperson Wayne Minnaar confirmed that Provincial and James roads have been cleared.

A mobile classroom is set alight in Ennerdale.
